Building Project and Capital Campaign

God With Us - A Strong Foundation

Emmanuel Lutheran Church began as a small group of Christians, mostly Lutherans, who were seeking a church that would be traditional in its faith and practice. Through the summer and fall of 2015, we gathered regularly in people’s homes for Bible study, prayer and reflection. Ultimately we decided to form our own congregation and to become a member congregation of the North American Lutheran Church (NALC).

We held our first worship service on the First Sunday in Advent, November 29, 2015. Since that time we have gathered regularly for worship, to hear the Word of God in preaching and receive Holy Communion in accordance with the Lutheran tradition.

A Strong Future

Over the past year, Emmanuel has engaged in a time of reflection, discussion and discernment on the current and future needs of the church. Through this time, we feel that God is calling Emmanuel to take on the development of a new home for the congregation. We know this building will take some sacrifice on all our parts. But a sacrifice in service of the praise of God is one we are pleased to make!

We Need Your Help

As with any major initiative, especially those that directly affect the future of Emmanuel, we want to first touch base with our congregation to gain their feedback and insight. We ask for you to review our vision and to participate in our feasibility study. It is through this process that a plan will be developed to address long-term church needs. Now is the time to give your feedback!

Church Building Project

We believe God is calling us to take steps towards constructing a church building designed for the good works God has prepared for us. This project is a ministry of congregational care and community outreach. We are building a house where God’s means of grace – Word, Sacrament, fellowship – can be received and enjoyed and shared within our own church family and with our many neighbors.

As Emmanuel looks towards the future, we want to provide for the needs of our growing congregation and provide a home for more in the community to join us. A building of our own will enhance current ministries, bring forth new ministry opportunities, and provide for future growth for the generations to follow. We want it to be a place to call home and a launching point for bringing God’s love to all.

We are excited to continue to collaborate with all those in our congregation to talk about programming goals, aspirations and building design ideas for this proposed building project. This has been an ongoing effort and will continue through our feasibility study. Our goal is to listen and allow our congregation to discuss these topics in an organized fashion, which will lead to a more robust and cohesive vision moving forward.

Feasibility Study - Join Us!

We hope you are excited about what God is doing and will continue to do at Emmanuel. We encourage each household to share their thoughts through the feasibility study and to pray together that God’s will be accomplished. As the apostle Paul wrote, we serve a God who “is able to do far more abundantly than all that we can ask or think.”
