The Lord be with you.

I’m Pastor Logan, and I’ve been called to the ministry of Word and Sacrament here at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Though I originally hail from some ways away—Los Angeles, CA—I’ve learned the adventure of ministry (and discipleship for that matter) is first about following the Lord’s lead, so I welcome his call to serve in this Happy Valley.

To share a little about myself, it was back in high school when I first started studying what the theologians call “the strange new world within the Bible,” and I haven’t looked back since. In fact, I continued following this passion through terms of study at Westmont College, Princeton Theological Seminary, and Wycliffe College, Toronto.

When I started out in pastoral ministry, I found trusty guidance from the North American Lutheran Church. I’ve  appreciated this communion’s counsel and encouragement to focus ministry on enjoying God, equipping disciples, and serving neighbors.

Let me also take this opportunity to extend an invitation to visit with us as we continue to seek the face of our Lord whose name is called Emmanuel, “God with us.” As the apostle writes us, “that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ” (1 John 1:3).
